Who needs to file
- Self-employed people with income over £1,000 per year
- Company directors
- People with income over £100,000
- Those with income from renting out property
- Those claiming the High Income Child Benefit Charge
- People with complex tax affairs
Key deadlines
- 5 October: register for Self Assessment if you haven't before
- 31 October: paper return deadline
- 31 January: online return deadline and payment deadline
