Frequently asked questions

Do no junk mail signs actually work?
A clear sign on your letterbox does cut down a good chunk of unwanted mail — particularly the unaddressed leaflets, takeaway menus and free newspapers that delivery people drop door to door, as most will respect a polite, visible notice. It's worth wording it to make clear that addressed post and your deliveries are still welcome, so you don't lose anything you want. A couple of things a sign alone won't stop: addressed marketing mail (for that, in the UK you can register free with the Mail Preference Service), and Royal Mail's own delivery of unaddressed advertising (which you can opt out of separately by contacting Royal Mail). Laminating the sign or using a weatherproof one keeps it tidy outdoors. It won't be 100%, but it noticeably reduces the daily pile of paper.
Is it really free?
Yes — no email, no sign-up.
Can I print it more than once?
