Interviews are won in the preparation, not the room. Here are the tips that make the biggest difference.
Read the company website, recent press releases and their LinkedIn company page. Know what they do, who their customers are, their recent news, and what attracted you to them specifically. Vague answers reveal a lack of preparation instantly.
Use the STAR method: Situation, Task, Action, Result. Have one example ready for: an achievement you are proud of, a challenge you overcame, and a time you worked under pressure. These three cover 80% of competency questions.
Asking good questions signals genuine interest. Try: 'What does success look like in this role in the first six months?' or 'What do people who thrive here have in common?'
