Frequently asked questions
Why track fitness progress beyond just weight?
Because the scales tell a narrow and often misleading story. Weight fluctuates daily with water, food and hormones, and it can't distinguish muscle from fat — so someone getting fitter and stronger may see the scales barely move, or even rise, while their body and health genuinely improve. Tracking 'non-scale victories' — how your clothes fit, your energy and mood, your strength, stamina and sleep, and optional measurements — gives a fuller, fairer and far more motivating picture of progress, and it's much kinder to your relationship with your body. It also keeps you going during the inevitable plateaus when the scale stalls but everything else is still improving. If you notice signs of an unhealthy relationship with food, exercise or your body, please speak to your GP.
