Frequently asked questions

How do you play the Mr & Mrs game at a hen party?
The Mr & Mrs quiz (sometimes 'Mrs & Mrs' or 'Mr & Mr' — it works for any couple) is the quintessential hen party game and reliably one of the funniest moments of the day. The setup is the key bit: well before the hen do, secretly ask the bride's partner a set of questions about the couple and their relationship, and record their answers (a quick video of them answering is even better, if they're willing — playing it back is hilarious). Then, on the day, you ask the bride the very same questions and see whether her answers match her partner's. For every answer that doesn't match, she does a light-hearted forfeit — traditionally a sip of her drink, or a silly dare. The questions should be a mix of sweet and cheeky: where they first met, who said 'I love you' first, the partner's most annoying habit, how they proposed, and so on. It's such a winner because it celebrates the couple, the bride's reactions are gold, and reading out the partner's answers (especially if they've been cheeky) gets everyone laughing. Keep the questions affectionate and fun, gather the partner's answers in good time, and have a few gentle forfeits ready. A hen party essential.
