Freshers' week is the induction week at the beginning of the first year of university — typically the week before teaching begins.
Attend your academic induction (important information about your course, assessment and who to contact if you struggle). Register with a local GP. Go to the Freshers' Fair and sign up for at least two societies — these are the best way to make friends with shared interests.
Every single night out if you do not drink or find them enjoyable. The social pressure during freshers' week is intense but temporary. Clubs and societies are a far more sustainable path to friendship than a week of forced socialising in loud venues.
