What fireworks can you legally let off at home in the UK?
Only category F2 and F3 fireworks are sold to the public for garden use (F4 is professional only). It's illegal to set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am (except on 5 November when it's midnight, and New Year, Diwali and Chinese New Year when it's 1am). Always keep a bucket of water nearby, never return to a lit firework, and keep spectators at the recommended distance. For most families, attending an organised display is safer and more spectacular than a home display.
